EV Money Saver Privacy Policy

EV Money Saver calculates electric-vehicle charging costs and, when requested, compares priced charging stations in Switzerland.

Information handled by the extension

• Location search text. When you type a Swiss place or address, the text is sent over HTTPS to the swisstopo Search API so the extension can display matching locations.
• Device location. If you click Use my location and grant Chrome's location permission, the extension reads your approximate coordinates to find nearby chargers. It does not read your location in the background.
• Preferences and entries. Theme, language, search settings, selected vehicle, cached locations, station data, and chargers you add are stored in Chrome extension storage or IndexedDB on your device. ExtensionPay may use Chrome's synchronized extension storage for its pseudonymous entitlement key and cached access status.
• Payment access data. When you start a trial, buy access, or restore access, ExtensionPay processes the account and entitlement. Stripe processes the payment. EV Money Saver does not receive or store card details.
• Network data. Requests to data providers necessarily expose standard connection data such as your IP address and browser headers to those providers.

How the information is used

Location information is used only to provide suggestions, calculate distances, and rank nearby priced chargers. Vehicle and charging inputs are used only to calculate the requested charging session. Payment access data is used only to determine whether the premium charger comparison is available.

EV Money Saver does not sell personal data, serve advertising, track browsing history, or use data for credit decisions. It does not load or execute remote code.

Services contacted

The extension may contact swisstopo and Swiss public charging-data or operator endpoints to retrieve location, station, and price information. It also contacts ExtensionPay for trial and purchase status. Stripe is used on ExtensionPay's hosted checkout. Opening directions is an explicit action that opens Google Maps in a new tab.

Retention and deletion

Local extension data remains on the device until it is cleared or the extension is uninstalled. ExtensionPay and Stripe retain account, transaction, and legally required payment records under their own policies. EV Money Saver does not operate a separate user database.

Security

External requests use HTTPS. Payment pages are hosted by ExtensionPay and Stripe. No payment secret or private data-source API key is included in the extension.
